The Dubai Shopping Festival (DSF) is way more than just a bunch of sales. It's one of the biggest things happening in Dubai, mixing culture and shopping. People actually plan their winter trips around it every year.
Launched in 1996, DSF is among the world’s longest-running retail festivals. It was envisioned to boost tourism during the quieter winter retail months. Over time, it transformed into a city-wide celebration combining shopping, entertainment, culture, and community.
Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum had the idea for the festival, and you can see his vision in its motto: One World, One Family, One Festival.
Now, the Dubai Shopping Festival is famous worldwide. When it's really busy, it brings billions of dirhams into Dubai's economy and gets millions of people to visit from the GCC, Europe, South Asia, Africa, and lots of other places.
